So... if you’re reading this I guess it means that I actually did it. I clicked the button and became a blogger
A little more about me:
I’m a proud Gen Xer that really didn’t begin to embrace the work-life balance thing until my late 30’s. I love both the Work and Life sides of that scale
I am swimmingly single (see: work-life balance). I have put multiple requests to the universe for that perfect partner, though it appears her has been on back-order for quite some time
Small turns in my life trajectory in 2019 led me to becoming a bona fide amateur photographer.
Around the same time, I solidified my love for solo travel, and dedicated to seeing all 50 states before I turned 50 (check!). I have continued to stretch my comfort zone through van camping and international adventures.
I also love dogs, hiking, stand-up paddle boarding… and fish tacos.
I have been hand writing this blog posts for a while now, which I guess technically makes them journal entries until they’re on a website for all to read… so don’t be surprised to see “new” posts from months and years ago. I want to keep my timeline as true to reality as I can.
I have long term hopes and dreams of making my travel and photography a way to move into my “mid-life crisis career” as it’s not looking like true retirement is coming any time soon. If nothing else, I hope you can follow, share, and hopefully be inspired by my ups and downs of navigating the solo travel/amateur photography blogosphere
